Hillels of Georgia, a regional Hillel system, serves as an umbrella organization partnering with college campuses to provide thousands of Jewish students with their Jewish home away from home.

 

Our mission is to create vibrant Jewish life on every campus in Georgia. We do so by providing meaningful Jewish experiences to thousands of students on campuses across Georgia.

Hillels of Georgia was founded in 2003 to engage and empower Jewish students to create vibrant and dynamic Jewish life on campuses across the state. Hillels of Georgia is a proud member of Hillel International and beneficiary of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.

 Our passionate and driven students make Hillel everything it is! Alongside our talented group of professionals, student leaders help to plan and run all Hillel programming based on five “pillars:”

Jewish Living
and Learning:

Fostering Jewish student growth, celebrating pluralistic Jewish holidays and Shabbat, and exploring rich traditions through memorable Jewish experiences.

Community Building:

Building strong, diverse, and inclusive Jewish communities on campus which help students understand their role in the community and give them a way to relate to the world.

 

Israel & Global Jewish Education:

Cultivating a passion and a sense of personal attachment to Israel and the Jewish diaspora through advocacy, education, and international travel.

Leadership Development:

Developing skills that help students become critical thinkers, motivate others, enhance a personal leadership philosophy, and understand their role in post-college community life.

Social Action/Tzedek:

Providing meaningful public service and inspiring students to address social justice issues creatively reflecting Jewish values.
