ALUMNI

Welcome, GSU Alumni!

Much like there is no “typical” GSU student, there’s really no “typical” Hillel experience either.  For some students, we’re a source of community programming and Jewish education.  Fellowships, trips, gatherings, networking opportunities - we got it all and more!  For others, we’re a support network of friends on hard days and a hype team on good ones.  And yet for everyone, we strive to be a dependable, transformative Jewish home away from home.

You, our alumni, make it possible to do what we do.  By staying in touch, offering your guidance, and showing your support for Hillel’s programs and initiatives, we’re able to reach more students and make a difference on and off campus. Thank you for all that you do!

And, importantly, we’re in your corner as well! I’m always here for you if you’re curious about GSU Jewish life, want to learn more about our programs, or are eager to find a local Jewish community close to where you live!  Just reach out and say hi!

L’chaim!

Bella

I still fondly recall wonderful Jewish programming that created lifelong friendships and treasured memories during my student experience with Hillel. Many years later, I have the privilege of serving as faculty advisor for GSU Hillel since 2014.

Think back on your days as a GSU student and your activities with Hillel--the activities, hangout lunches, and strong communities you built. GSU alumni are loyal to their school because, regardless of their diverse professional paths, they are bonded by a transformative college experience.

Hillel adds an extra layer to that transformation--students learn to embrace their Jewish identity as yet another source of empowerment. Through Hillel’s programming, teaching, and community engagement, hundreds of GSU students have enhanced their Jewish identity by virtue of their Hillel home away from home.  We are changing the Jewish future for the better, and we have our alumni to help support GSU students.  Through your mentorship, your guidance, your generous giving, and your staying in touch, YOU make Hillel a vital part of the Jewish college experience for hundreds.  For that, we thank you.

And just as you support Hillel, we too want to be here to support you! If you are an alumnus or friend of GSU Hillel who wants to stay connected to our campus life, would like to mentor a student, and/or help GSU Hillel in other ways, feel free to contact me anytime!

PARENTS

We are excited to welcome your student to their Jewish home away from home! At Hillel we seek to create an open, inclusive Jewish environment for every student, and our staff will strive to ensure that everyone feels at home as a vital member of our Hillel family.

Parent contributions of any amount are vital for Hillel to engage, support, and inspire every Jewish student on campus. Your support  helps us provide free Jewish programming, kosher Shabbat and holiday meals, leadership opportunities, and so much more!
