Hillel’s of Georgia is pleased to announce that Jeremy Lichtig, former Hillel UGA Assistant Director, has been appointed Campus Director for Hillel UGA.
“I am honored and beyond excited to take on the new challenge of being Director at Hillel UGA,” said Jeremy Lichtig. “Over the past five and a half years, I had the wonderful opportunity to work in different capacities for Hillel UGA. Each day was filled with laughter, growth, and amazing people. Athens is filled with outstanding people ready and willing to do everything possible to make you feel a part of something greater than yourself. This is the best job around because these combinations don't happen very often!”
Jeremy first arrived at Hillel UGA in 2015 and has served as Assistant Director since 2018. A graduate of Auburn University, Jeremy also holds Master's degrees from Ohio University in Coaching Education and from the United Sports Academy in Sports Medicine and Management.
Jeremy has played a pivotal role in Hillel UGA's growth over the past five years, including student leadership, program development, fundraising and community relations. He is excited to lead students, staff, alumni and friends together to continue to transform Hillel UGA into one of the best programs in the Hillel International movement.
Jeremy is committed to helping Jewish students at UGA create Jewish community on campus while providing them with opportunities to grow and share their Jewish identity. Says Jeremy, "We look forward to getting back to doing what we are great at - meeting the Jewish students where they are! Whether it be at a home cooked Shabbat dinner, over a cup of coffee, or through programming by our great student leadership, I look forward to working with everyone to ensure that Hillel UGA has its best year yet!"
